I help career-driven, perfectionist Millennial moms finally feel happier and present with their kids and spouse by teaching them coping strategies for anxiety and burnout.

Josie Ridpath LICSW online therapist for moms in Minnesota

Hi, I'm Josie.

I'm a licensed therapist with seven years of clinical experience offering online therapy in Minneapolis, the Twin Cities, and throughout Minnesota — and my passion is helping career-driven, perfectionist moms finally feel happier and present.

I'm a mom, a wife, and someone who has sat with the same quiet fear: “I'm not doing motherhood right.” I work specifically with moms like you because I know what it feels like to need someone who gets it from the inside — not just from a textbook.

Maybe You're Here Because…

You pour everything into your career and your family — and still go to bed feeling like you fell short.

You love your kids fiercely and still find yourself going through the motions, checked out, running on empty.

You can’t get out of your own brain — the worry, the mental load, the constant chatter never fully stops. There is never a moment of relief.

The anxiety and guilt follow you everywhere — into your marriage, your motherhood, your sense of self.

You feel disconnected — your husband feels like a roommate, your time for friendships have taken a back seat, and you struggle to know what to say when asked what your hobbies are.

You start the day depleted and end it the same way.

You can’t remember the last time you felt genuinely happy — most days feel like something to get through rather than something to actually live.

And underneath all of it, there's a voice…

I should be more patient with my kids.

I should be grateful — my life is good.

I should be able to handle this.

I should want to be more present.

I should stop snapping at my husband.

I should be enjoying this more.

It doesn't have to be like this.

Mom burnout, perfectionism, and anxiety are treatable — and you don't have to keep carrying them alone.

Our work together can help you stop carrying the weight of never feeling like enough — so you can finally feel present, happier, and like yourself again in your motherhood and your life.

What You Actually Want

Woman relaxing with coffee — finding peace through therapy for moms

To walk away from a hard moment without spiraling.

To feel present at the dinner table instead of just getting through it.

To go to bed feeling like enough.

To make decisions from a place of peace — not fear.

To finally have something left in the tank — for your kids, your husband, and yourself.

To feel moments of real happiness again — not just relief that the day is over.

Therapy With Me Is Different
and Here's How.

You've probably tried the books, the podcasts, the mom groups and mom friends who mean well. You don't need more information. You need a space built specifically for you — where you don't have to explain why you love your kids and still resent motherhood, and where someone can see your patterns from the outside and help you actually change them, not just understand them.

I don't judge. I don't give advice you didn't ask for. And I don't make you feel like a case study.

I focus on you feeling heard, making real progress you can measure, and having someone in your corner who gets both the mom experience and the driven woman underneath it.

I work with real, teachable skills — not just insight, but practical tools you can use between sessions to actually feel different. I am trained in perinatal mental health and I utilize DBT and CBT tools for regulating your emotions in the moments that matter most, setting boundaries without guilt, asking for what you need without shame, and slowing down enough to actually feel present in the life you're already living.
